Don’t Make Us Call Your Mother!
In consideration of being permitted to compete, officiate, observe or participate in the MiLife sport and Social Club events, in addition to using this website and all it’s features, by participating and/or using this site, You hereby acknowledge this document extends to cover the MiLife Sport and Social Club, its employees, agents, independent contractors, any sponsors and participants (MiLife), and acknowledge the following:
Waiver of Liability
I acknowledge that there are certain risks of physical injury and damage to personal property as I participate in the Event and I agree to waive any liability that may arise associated with participating in the Event.
Assumption of Risk
I acknowledge that there are certain risks of physical injury and damage to personal property as I participate in the Event, and hereby assume the full risk of any injuries and expenses, which I, or my property, may sustain while participating in any activities associated with the Event.
Indemnity Agreement
I agree to indemnify and hold harmless MiLife from all actions, claims, or demands of every nature and kind whatsoever which I, my heirs, or assigns may now, or at anytime thereafter, have against MiLife arising from the Event on account of any loss, damage, or injury, caused by the negligence, default, or misconduct of MiLife while participating in any activities associated with the Event.
Player Safety & Privacy Disclaimer
You must read & agree to everything on this page before playing any sport with us
- Please note that all the sports and events we play here at MiLife Sport & Social Club (MiLife) have risks associated with them and you are fully responsible for looking after yourself. Also, please look after each other. By participating in MiLife sports or activities you acknowledge that you have read and agreed to the MiLife Liability Waiver, Assumption of Risk, and Indemnity Agreement located above. These sports sessions are social and are not led by a qualified instructor. Please consult your doctor if you’re unsure whether you’re fit enough to be taking part in these sports, as even a sociable beginner sport’s game can be demanding.
- Please be aware that you are responsible for warming up before playing any sport and cooling down & stretching afterwards. Those wearing glasses are advised to consider wearing contact lenses, and those wearing watches, earrings, jewelry, and other valuables MUST remove them before playing. Fingernails MUST be trimmed short at all times. In wet weather, please dry your shoes & be careful when running on court to prevent slipping. The only footwear permitted is non-marking sports shoes if at an indoor facility. You are responsible for ensuring that your shoes are appropriate for the sports you play. Please turn all mobile phones off. If you really must take an urgent call then please leave the sports hall so that you don’t disturb the other players.
- All games are to be friendly and not taken seriously, so please don’t charge at each other and avoid aggressive behavior. If you’re looking for a hard, competitive league to let your aggression out, or to show off then MiLife is not for you. We want to have fun and keep it fun. All of our players must be able to play their sports in safety. If you bring spectators / friends then you are responsible for them & their behavior too. Inconsiderate or dangerous players, spectators, or friends will be banned at MiLife’s discretion.
- No smoking is permitted at any of the sports facilities or their grounds. No alcohol or drugs are permitted at any of the sports facilities or theirs grounds. Additionally, no eating is allowed in any of the indoor sports facilities. Make sure that your valuables are well protected in a bag so that they aren’t damaged if a stray ball hits it. Don’t leave your valuables in the changing rooms. MiLife is not responsible for your personal items. Bring them into the sports facility & find a suitable protected place to put them. By participating with MiLife, you accept full responsibility for damage and loss to yourself and your property, and further agree to the MiLife Liability Waiver, Assumption of Risk, and Indemnity Agreement located above.
- By signing up to participate with MiLife and its sports and events you acknowledge and represent that you are 21 years of age of older. While MiLife is a sport and social club it does not encourage the use of alcohol inappropriately. Furthermore, MiLife stresses not to drink and drive. MiLife, it’s partnered bar, and it’s sponsors are not responsible for your actions and/or damages resulting thereof. If you are irresponsible and drink and drive you do it at your own risk. MiLife does not encourage you to break the law, instead, if you choose to drink, you should call a cab, walk, or designate a sober driver for the night.
- MiLife takes pictures and videos at all event functions and by participating, you give MiLife the authorization and full rights to use these pictures and videos of you in any way we want. These photos and videos are the sole property of the MiLife. Don’t worry, this media is used primarily for marketing purposes.
- MiLife, its partners, and sponsors will not be held responsible for any incidental and/or consequential damages incurred from participating. You play and socialize at your own risk.
- It is understood that your participation means that you have read, understood, and will abide by these Rules, and the Liability Waiver, Assumption of Risk, and Indemnity Agreement located above.
- MiLife Rules, Liability Waiver, Assumption of Risk, and Indemnity Agreement can be found on our website, at the events and/or games, or by calling us at (734)545-8859.
- The bottom line: we’re not taking any responsibility for you, your stuff, your friends, or your actions. So, be on your best behavior, don’t break anything (including the law), and you should be good to go!
