Adult Dodgeball Leagues in Michigan

Adult Dodgeball Leagues in Michigan

This isn’t gym class. There are no whistles, no weird penny vests, and no coach with a clipboard yelling about hustle. There definitely won’t be an older gentleman throwing wrenches and shouting Dodge, dip, duck, dive and… dodge.

This is dodgeball with music playing, beers after, and people diving for foam balls like it actually matters. (It kind of does.)

We run coed 21+ dodgeball leagues across Ann Arbor, Lansing, and Grand Rapids, and every week feels like chaos in the best way. It’s fast, it’s sweaty, and it’s way more fun than whatever your coworkers are doing on a Tuesday night.

We use soft foam balls so nobody’s going home with a black eye. What you’re signing up for is part cardio, part comedy, and part therapy session where you throw things at people and then grab a drink with them after.

What dodgeball formats does MiLife run?

Games are either 6v6 or 8v8 depending on the gym. At least two women on the court at all times. Most teams bring more , because if your lineup is all dudes, you’re probably losing.

You’ll play multiple rounds per match, so if you get tagged early, you’ll be back in before you finish yelling “damn.” Rounds move fast. Everyone gets in on the action.

House Rules

The whole thing is monitored by MiLife staff so games stay fun, fair, and don’t spiral into some weird revenge match from 6th grade.

When are dodgeball leagues and where are games played?

Dodgeball is an indoor sport, making it perfect for Michigan winters and shoulder seasons.

Fall and Winter

Played in school gyms and rec centers, dodgeball is a great way to stay active when it’s too cold to be outside.

Spring

Shorter spring sessions give you one last chance to play indoors before outdoor leagues dominate the summer.

Games are hosted at central gyms in Ann Arbor, Lansing/East Lansing, and Grand Rapids, with easy parking and plenty of space for league-night socials after the matches.
