Availability and Volunteer Assignment Preferences – Please check which day you prefer to volunteer and the sport you would like to volunteer for. We will do our best to follow your preferences but please know that we may need help in other areas!
MiLife Sport & Social commits to the following:
• To provide adequate information and training so you may meet the expectations as described in your volunteer role description
• To explain what is required of you and to support help you achieve the desired results
• To treat you with respect and courtesy at all times
• To be receptive to any comments and feedback from all our volunteers
• To value and recognize our volunteers as a significant resource in achieving the goals of our organization The
Volunteer commits to the following:
• To fulfill my role as outlined in the attached volunteer role description
• To perform my volunteer role to the best of my ability
• To follow the organization’s policies and procedures
• To meet time and task commitments and to provide sufficient notice when not available
• To act in a way that is in line with the aims and objectives of the organization
You are agreeing to:
1. Confidentiality: Volunteer will not disclose or use, either during or after the term of this Agreement, any proprietary or confidential information of MiLife Sports without MiLife Sports’ prior written permission except to the extent necessary to perform Services on MiLife Sports’ behalf. Proprietary or confidential information includes:
- The written, printed, graphic, or electronically recorded materials furnished by MiLife Sports for Volunteer to use;
- Business plans, customer lists, operating procedures, trade secrets, design formulas, know-how and processes, computer programs and inventories, discoveries, and improvements of any kind; and
- Information belonging to customers and suppliers of MiLife Sports about whom Volunteer gained knowledge as a result of Intern’s Services to MiLife Sports. Volunteer shall not be restricted in using any material that is publicly available, already in Volunteer’s possession, or known to Volunteer without restriction, or that is rightfully obtained by Volunteer from sources other than MiLife Sports. On termination of Intern’s Services to MiLife Sports, or at MiLife Sports’ request, Volunteer shall deliver to MiLife Sports all materials in Intern’s possession relating to MiLife Sports’ business.
2. Inventions and Patents: Volunteer agrees that they will promptly from time to time fully inform and disclose to MiLife Sports all inventions, designs, improvements, and discoveries that they now have or may hereafter have during the term of this agreement that pertain or relate to the business of MiLife Sports or to any experimental work carried on by MiLife Sports, whether conceived by Volunteer alone or with others and whether or not conceived during regular working hours. All such inventions, designs, improvements, and discoveries shall be the exclusive property of MiLife Sports. Intern shall assist MiLife Sports at MiLife Sports’ sole expense, to obtain patents on all such inventions, designs, improvements, and discoveries deemed patentable by MiLife Sports and shall execute all documents and do all things necessary to obtain letters patent, vest MiLife Sports with full and exclusive title thereto, and protect the same against infringement by others.
Volunteer shall be entitled to no additional compensation for any and all inventions or designs made during the course of this agreement.
3. Noncompetition by Volunteer: During the term of this agreement, Volunteer shall not, directly or indirectly, either as an employee, employer, consultant, agent, principal, partner, stockholder, corporate officer, director, or in any other individual or representative capacity, engage or participate in any business that is in competition in any manner whatsoever with the businessofMiLifeSports.
4. Copyrights: Volunteer hereby assigns all copyright interest that arise as a result of any work of creation, including but not limited to, plans, designs, and software. Volunteer further agrees to cooperate in obtaining registration in the name of MiLife Sports for any work created, whether it be a compilation or derivative work or a work of original creation. Volunteer further agrees that in any event any such work of creation may be considered a “work for hire” and Intern hereby conveys the title to any such work to MiLife Sports.
5. The parties further agree that this contract shall be governed under the laws of the state of Michigan.
